Kann Samsung mit der neuen Galaxy A-Serie A54 und A34 zum neuen Bestseller werden?


Als bekennender Apple Freund sollte man hin und wieder auch mal einen Blick „über den Tellerrand“ werfen. Samsung hat als einer der größten Konkurrenten am 15. März seine neunen Geräte der A-Reihe vorgestellt. Diese Reihe ist besonders für Sparfüchse eine lohnenswerte alternative zu der hochpreisigen S-Reihe. Das Design gleicht sich hier immer weiter an. Samsung versucht hier ein über alle Reihen einheitliches zeitloses und schlichtes Design zu etablieren und kommt damit bei seinen Kunden gut an.

In einer Vergleichsübersicht von IDEALO aus dem letzten Monat hat Samsung als Smartphone-Hersteller den Platz 1 inne und verweist Apple auf Platz 2. Natürlich kann sich das Bild im Herbst wieder ändern, wenn Apple mit seiner neuen iPhone Produktreihe auf den Markt kommt. Samsung hat aber mit seiner „Frühjahrskollektion“ der A- und S-Reihe gepunktet. Die Nachfrage ist in diesem Jahr wesentlich höher als noch bei den Modellen des Vorjahres. Dies wird wahrscheinlich aber auch mit der veränderten Inflationsrate und der gestiegenen Kauflust zu erklären sein.

Was macht die neue A-Reihe neben dem Design sonst noch aus? Das Samsung A34 kommt mit folgender Ausstattung auf den Markt:

    • Bildschirm: 6,6 Zoll FHD+ Super-AMOLED-Display (1.080 x 2.340 Pixel) mit 390 ppi Pixeldicht und einer Spitzenhelligkeit von bis zu 1.000 Nits
    • 120 Hz-Bildwiederholrate
    • Prozessor: MediaTek-Prozessor Dimensity 1080
    • Arbeitsspeicher: 6/128 GB (389 Euro UVP) oder 8/256 GB (459 Euro UVP)
    • Triple-Kamera (48 MP Hauptkamera, Superweitwinkelkamera mit 8 Megapixeln, 5 Megapixel Kamera für Makroaufnahmen)
    • Akku: 5.000-mAh mit 25 Watt-Schnellladefunktion
    • Schutz gegen Staub und Wasser nach IP67-Standard

Die etwas bessere Variante des Samsung A54 hat folgende Ausstattung:

    • Bildwiederholfrequenz von 120 Hertz
    • Prozessor: Exynos 1380 Chip (5-Nanometer-Verfahren auf Grundlage von vier ARM-Cortex A-Kernen und dem Grafikchip Mali-G80)
    • Arbeitsspeicher: 8/128 GB (489 Euro UVP), 8/256 GB (539 Euro UVP)
    • Triple-Kamera (Weitwinkelkamera mit 50 MP, Ultraweitwinkelkamera mit 12 MP, Macrokamera mit 5 MP)
    • Akku: 5.000-mAh-Akku mit 25 Watt-Schnellladefunktion
    • Schutz gegen Staub und Wasser nach IP67-Standard
    • Besonderheit: die Galaxy A54 Reihe ist das erste Modell, das mit einer eSIM-Funktionalität kommt

In Vergleich zu den Vorjahresmodellen dem A33 und dem A53 ist es hier wie bei Apple, frei nach dem Motto „höher, schneller, weiter“. Hervorzuheben sind hier vor allem die neuen Prozessoren, die Schnellladefunktion und die KI-Unterstützung, um Video- und Fotoergebnisse bei Nacht zu optimieren. Die A54 Reihe gibt es noch in anderen Farbvarianten und im Vergleich zum Kunststofftrückteil beim A34 gibt es hier eine Glasrückseite.

Beide Geräte hatten bei Verkaufsstart einen Hersteller-Preis ab 389 Euro beim A-34 und ab 489 Euro beim A-54. Nach jetzt gut zwei Monaten hat sich der Preis deutlich nach unten orientiert. So zahlt man im Juni ca. 290 Euro für das A34 und 375 Euro für das A54. Wer also abwarten kann und nicht sofort ein neues Gerät in Händen halten muss, der kann hier gut und gerne ordentlich Geld sparen.

Aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage und der sinkenden Preise hat das Galaxy A54 es bei IDEALO im Mai schon auf Platz vier der Top 5 Produkte gebracht. Wenn der Preis hier weiter fallen wird und die Nachfrage unverändert hoch bleibt, kann es durchaus sein, hier Apple mit seinem iPhone 14 noch von Platz zwei zu verdrängen.

Abzuwarten ist auch hier der Herbst, wenn Apple mit seinem iPhone 15 auf den Markt kommt. Zurzeit wird schon das neue IOS 17 in allen Medien vorgestellt und hier ist auch zu erwarten, dass die Hardware entsprechend aufgerüstet werden wird. As a self-confessed Apple friend, you should take a look „outside the box“ from time to time. Samsung, one of the biggest competitors, presented its new A-series devices on 15 March. This series is a worthwhile alternative to the high-priced S-series, especially for those who want to save money. The design is becoming more and more similar. Samsung is trying to establish a timeless and simple design that is uniform across all series, and this is going down well with its customers.
In a comparative overview by IDEALO from last month, Samsung holds first place as a smartphone manufacturer, relegating Apple to second place. Of course, the picture may change again in autumn when Apple launches its new iPhone product line. But Samsung has scored with its „spring collection“ of the A and S series. Demand is much higher this year than for last year’s models. However, this is probably also explained by the change in the inflation rate and the increased desire to buy.
What else makes the new A-series stand out besides the design?

Compared to last year’s models, the A33 and A53, it’s like Apple here, freely following the motto „higher, faster, further“. The new processors, the fast charging function and the AI support to optimise video and photo results at night are particularly noteworthy here. The A-54 series is also available in other colour variants and, compared to the plastic back of the A-34, there is a glass back here.
Both devices had a manufacturer’s price starting at 389 Euros for the A34 and 489 Euros for the A54 when they went on sale. Now, after a good two months, the price has come down considerably. In June, you will pay about 290 euros for the A34 and 375 euros for the A54. So if you can wait and don’t have to get your hands on a new device right away, you can save a lot of money.
Due to the high demand and falling prices, the Galaxy A54 has already made it to fourth place in IDEALO’s Top 5 products in May. If the price continues to fall and demand remains high, it may well be possible to knock Apple out of second place with its iPhone 14.
It remains to be seen when Apple launches its iPhone 15 in autumn. At the moment, the new IOS 17 is already being presented in all media and it is to be expected that the hardware will be upgraded accordingly.
