Diese Woche wird SAMSUNG seine neue Galaxy S23 Serie vorstellen. Das Event wird am 01.02.2023 stattfinden und wird von Samsung schon auf alles Social Media Kanälen umworben. Was erwartet uns und wie werden sich die Preise in den kommenden Monaten entwickeln?

Wenn man den Kennern der Szene glauben schenken darf, wird die neue Ultra Serie mit folgenden Ausstattungsmerkmalen auf den Markt kommen:

- Konnektivität: 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth
- Prozessor: 8-Kern-Prozessor mit 3 Clustern (es handelt sich wahrscheinlich um den Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)
- Arbeitsspeicher: 8 oder 12 GB RAM
- Speicher: 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 Terabyte
- Akku: 4.855 mAh
- Gewicht: 233 Gramm
- Maße: 163,4 × 74,1 × 8,9 Millimeter
Weiteren Vermutungen zur Folge soll das Galaxy S23 mit einem OLED-Display mit einer Leuchtkraft von bis zu 2.000 Nits ausgestattet sein. Zur Erinnernung, das Vorgängermodell hatte hier „nur“ eine Leuchtkraft von 1.750 Nits. Ende letzten Jahres hat Corning sein neues Glas für Smartphones vorgestellt. Es handelt sich dabei um das Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Bei einem Sturz von einem Meter Höhe auf Beton, soll das Displayglas unbeschadet bleiben. Das Unternehmen hat in einem Bericht vom 26.01. nun offiziell verlauten lassen, dass dieses neue Glas bei der neuen S23 Serie zum Einsatz kommen wird (Quelle: Corning).
Das „Galaxy Unpacked -Video“ stellt die drei Kameras in den Mittelpunkt. Dies läßt darauf schließen, das es hier ebenfalls eine Modifikation geben wird. Der Verweis auf den Mond könnte zum Beispiel auch auf eine Verbesserung bei Nachtaufnahmen hinweisen. Dies kann auch durch eine weiter entwickelte Kamerasoftware erreicht werden, aber auch ein neuer Kamerasensor ist im Gespräch. So findet sich um Internet auf der chinesischen Plattform Weibo bereits ein Fotovergleich zwischen dem 108-Megapixel-Kamerasensor des S22 Ultra und dem 200-Megapixel-Kamerasensor des S23 Ultra.
So wie es aussehen wird werden auch, wie bei der Markteinführung der iPhone 14 Modellreihe, die Preise bei Samsung steigen. Die beiden Vorgängermodelle starteten bei 849 Euro, die Plus-Varianten lagen bei knapp über 1.000 Euro. Nun geht man von einem Preisanstieg von gut 100 Euro aus. Idealo.de hat hier mal eine Preisprognose erstellt.

Nachdem Samsung die Preise seiner neuen Modellreihe in diesem Jahr steigern wird, sollte der interessierte Käufer die Preisentwicklung für die kommenden Wochen und Monate im Auge halten. Dazu hat Idealo.de eine Preisprognose im Vergleich zu den beiden Vorgängern S21 und S22 veröffentlicht. Die folgenden Grafiken liefern hier eine tolle Übersicht.
Das Basismodell Samsung Galaxy S23 mit 128 GB wird nach rund drei Monaten bereits 20 Prozent günstiger sein und demnach unter 800 Euro kosten. Beim Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus wird nach drei Monaten ein Preisrückgang von 24 Prozent prognostiziert. Wenn dem so ist, wird es unter 1000 Euro fallen. Wer das S23 Plus im Auge haben sollte, verspricht die Preisprognose eine Ersparnis von knapp 300 Euro. Und ja, wartet man noch länger, sind hier noch mehr Ersparnisse möglich.
Schaut man hier auf den Startpreis von 1419 Euro für das Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra so kann man nach zwei Monaten, ebenso wie beim S23, schon 20 Prozent sparen. Dies macht gut und gerne 290 Euro aus. Hier dauert es aber bis 11 Monate, bis sich der Preis die 1000 Euro Marke erreicht. Das spricht wahrscheinlich dafür, dass das Flagschiff der Reihe qualitativ eine bessere Ausstattung haben wird.
Wer also nicht unbedingt in den ersten Wochen das neue Modell in Händen halten muss, kann hier schon ordentlich Geld sparen. Ein weiterer Vorteil sind die bis dahin erschienen ersten Erfahrungsberichte von vielen Usern. Und vielleicht sind nach den ersten Firmware-Updates die Kinderkrankheiten beseitigt, die ja meist zu erwarten sind. Die von Idealo erstellten Prognosen liegen sehr nah an der realen Preisentwicklung. Meist sind diese Preise nicht direkt bei Samsung oder Apple zu bekommen, aber viele andere Händler passen hier die Preise an.

According to further speculation, the Galaxy S23 will be equipped with an OLED display with a luminosity of up to 2,000 nits. As a reminder, the predecessor model here „only“ had a luminosity of 1,750 nits. At the end of last year, Corning presented its new glass for smartphones. It is the Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is supposed to remain undamaged if dropped from a height of one metre onto concrete. In a report dated 26 January, the company has now officially announced that this new glass will be used in the new S23 series (source: Corning).
The „Galaxy Unpacked video“ focuses on the three cameras. This suggests that there will also be a modification here. The reference to the moon, for example, could also indicate an improvement in night shots. This could also be achieved through further developed camera software, but a new camera sensor is also being discussed. A photo comparison between the 108-megapixel camera sensor of the S22 Ultra and the 200-megapixel camera sensor of the S23 Ultra can already be found on the Chinese platform Weibo.
From the looks of it, Samsung’s prices will also rise, just as they did with the launch of the iPhone 14 model series. Since Samsung will increase the prices of its new model series this year, the interested buyer should keep an eye on the price development for the coming weeks and months. So if you don’t necessarily have to have the new model in your hands in the first few weeks, you can save a lot of money here. Another advantage is the first field reports from many users that will have appeared by then. And maybe after the first firmware updates the teething troubles, which are usually to be expected, will have been eliminated. The forecasts made by Idealo are very close to the real price development. Most of the time, these prices are not available directly from Samsung or Apple, but many other retailers adjust their prices here.
