Samsung hat im Februar seine neue Produktreihe der Galaxy S20 Serie vorgestellt. Die komplette Samsung Galaxy Reihe wurde nun am 05.08.2020 der Öffentlichkeit beim „Galaxy Unpacked“  Event präsentiert.

Das neue Flaggschiff wird das Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Neben einer neuen Höchstleistungskamera (Triple-Kamera mit 8K-Videoaufnahme und HDR, 5-fach optischem Zoom und 50-fachem Hybrid-Zoom) unterstützt die Reihe nun auch das schnelle 5G Netz. Es gibt noch viele weitere Verbesserungen, die sich sehen lassen können. Für mich als bekennenden Apple Fan, sind da ein paar interessante Features bei. Jedoch gibt es für mich keinen Grund umzusteigen, da unsere Familie ein funktionierendes „Apple-Ökosystem“ aufgebaut hat und hier ein „Zahn in den anderen greift“. Außerdem gefallen mir die aktuellen Farben auch nicht besondern.

Immer wieder werden die hohen Preise der iPhone Modelle angesprochen und diskutiert. Die Samsung Modelle haben sich in den letzten Jahren auf einen ebenso hohen Preis-Niveau eingependelt. Die ersten Preiseinschätzungen aus Februar 2020 haben sich mehr oder weniger bestätigt.

Interessant finde ich ein Blick auf die Preisentwicklung auf Basis der Vorjahresmodelle. Hier liefert Idealo.de interessante Daten und hat wieder eine Preisprognose veröffentlicht.

Demnach wird das Galaxy Note 20 nach drei Monaten schon 24% günstiger zu erwerben sein und nach einem Jahr 34% unter dem Anfangspreis. Das würden dann nur noch gut 600 Euro sein. Wer also bis bis Mitte November warten kann, wird hier gut und gerne 200 Euro sparen können. Und wer weiß, wie sich der Preis noch entwickelt, wenn Apple seine neuen Modelle der Öffentlichkeit vorstellt und auf den Markt bringt?

Eine ähnliche, wenn nicht so drastische Preisentwicklung wird es auch beim Galaxy Note 20 Ultra geben. Aber auch hier werden nach drei Monaten Ersparnisse von 15% erwartet. Nach dem anfänglichen schnellerem „Preisverfall“ prognostiziert Idealo hier nach 12 Monaten eine Einsparung von 28%.

Normalerweise habe ich in den Vorjahren nach Veröffentlichung am ersten Tag meine Bestellung für das neue iPhone aufgegeben. Davon bin ich im Vorjahr jedoch abgerückt. Die von Idealo erstellten Prognosen liegen sehr nah an der realen Preisentwicklung. Meist sind diese nicht direkt bei Samsung oder Apple zu bekommen, aber viele andere Händler passen hier die Preise an.

Wer also abwarten kann und nicht sofort das neue Modell in Händen halten muss, kann hier den ein oder anderen Euro sparen. Ein weiterer Vorteil sind die bis dahin ersten Erfahrungsberichte von vielen Usern. Und vielleicht sind nach den ersten Firmware-Updates die Kinderkrankheiten beseitigt, die ja meist zu erwarten sind.

Die Vorbestellungen können nun auf der Homepage vorbestellt werden. Die Auslieferung wird für den 21.08.2020 angegeben. Wer jetzt bestellt, bekommt die Galaxy Bude Live in einem Wert von 184 Euro gratis dazu. Dies kann die prognostizierten Preisentwicklung abfangen, aber auch diese Hörer werden in den kommenden Monaten zu reduzierten Preisen zu bekommen sein. Immerhin steht ja noch der „Black-Friday“ am 27.11.2020 vor der Tür.

Samsung introduced its new Galaxy S20 series product line in February. The complete Samsung Galaxy series has now been presented to the public on 05.08.2020 at the „Galaxy Unpacked“ event.

The new flagship will be the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Besides a new high performance camera (triple camera with 8K video recording and HDR, 5x optical zoom and 50x hybrid zoom) the series now also supports the fast 5G network. There are many other improvements that are worth seeing. For me, as an avowed Apple fan, there are a few interesting features. However, there is no reason for me to change, as our family has built up a functioning „Apple ecosystem“ and here one „tooth in the other“. Besides, I don’t like the current colors very much either.

Again and again the high prices of the iPhone models are mentioned and discussed. The Samsung models have levelled off at an equally high price level in recent years. The first price estimates from February 2020 have more or less been confirmed.

I find it interesting to take a look at the price development based on the previous year’s models. Here Idealo.de provides interesting data and has again published a price forecast.

According to this, the Galaxy Note 20 will be 24% cheaper to buy after three months and 34% below the initial price after one year. That would then only be a good 600 euros. So if you can wait until mid-November, you will be able to save 200 Euros. And who knows how the price will develop when Apple presents its new models to the public and brings them onto the market?
There will be a similar, if not as drastic, price development for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. But here too, savings of 15% are expected after three months. After the initial faster „price decline“, Idealo forecasts savings of 28% here after 12 months.

Normally, in previous years, I placed my order for the new iPhone on the first day after release. However, I moved away from this in the previous year. The forecasts made by Idealo are very close to the real price development. Most of the time you can’t get them directly from Samsung or Apple, but many other retailers adjust their prices here.

So if you can wait and don’t have to hold the new model in your hands immediately, you can save a few euros here and there. Another advantage is the first reports of many users‘ experiences. And maybe after the first firmware updates the teething troubles will be eliminated, which are usually to be expected.

The pre-orders can now be pre-ordered on the homepage. The delivery is indicated for 21.08.2020. Those who order now will get the Galaxy Bude Live in a value of 184 Euro for free. This may offset the predicted price development, but these listeners will also be available at reduced prices in the coming months. After all, the „Black-Friday“ on 27.11.2020 is still around the corner.
